IKRT PROGRAMS AGREEMENT AND TERMS
To consult with Integrative Ketogenic Research & Therapies Ltd, and their programs and services, I agree to the following statements:
Legal Agreements
If I have any legal issue or complaint about this program, I agree to go through the English courts only (not courts in the US, EU, or anywhere else). This agreement follows the laws of England.
Program Fees
By joining the IKRT Foundations group program, I agree to pay for the full program, even if I decide to stop early, delay starting or not start at all. I understand this is because IKRT prepares and invests in the program and I before it starts.
Payments
I agree to pay for the full program, either:
- All at once (upfront) which costs less, or
- In monthly payments we’ve agreed on, which costs more.
I understand these monthly payments are to help me manage costs, not a “pay-as-you-go” system. I agree to complete all payments in full, even if I choose to leave the program early, am unable to continue for any reason, am asked to leave (due to disruptive behaviour, non-compliance, or safety concerns), or if my access is suspended due to non-payment. This reflects the upfront allocation of resources, the reservation of my place in the program, and preparatory work undertaken by IKRT.
Timely payment is required to maintain enrollment and access to program content. If a monthly payment is missed, IKRT may suspend access until all payments are brought up to date. Following a missed payment, there is a 3-day grace period to pay what is outstanding. If non-payment continues beyond this period, IKRT may terminate participation in the program. Payment obligation survives termination due to breach.
Failed Payments
If an installment payment is declined or otherwise unsuccessful, I understand IKRT reserves the right to retry the payment and, where available, to charge any other payment method I have previously provided and authorised for payments under this Agreement.
Refunds
I understand that refunds are not issued if I decide the program isn’t for me; this is in line with how most educational or healthcare programs operate. While I am free to step back at any point, for any reason, payment for the full program remains due. This does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
Under UK consumer law, I am entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period beginning on the date of purchase. If I choose to cancel within this period and have not accessed any part of the program, including but not limited to accessing content, joining calls, or entering any program platform or community space, I will receive a refund minus a £50 administrative and payment-processing fee.
After this deadline, no refunds are available, and payment for the full program remains due regardless of changes in personal circumstances or ability to participate. This is because the program includes digital content, immediate access to preparatory materials, and scheduled live professional guidance, all of which require IKRT to reserve my place and commit resources in advance.
Early Access & Waiver of Cooling-Off Rights
By choosing to begin the program immediately, I give express consent to access all digital content, community spaces, educational materials, support calls, and services during the statutory cooling-off period. I understand that once I access any part of the program, my right to cancel under consumer law is waived, as permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This means the full program payment will be due.
This does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Extensions and Ongoing Access to Course Material and Support at the End of the Program
I understand that program access is provided for a fixed period (6 months from the purchase date). If I am unable to participate or engage as intended due to life events or other circumstances, unpaid extensions cannot be offered, as continued access beyond the program dates requires additional professional support and resources. If I wish to access course materials and/or receive support at the end of the program, I understand that I can continue to pay monthly for the service.
Ongoing Access and Subscription
Upon completion of the initial program term (6 months from the date of purchase), continued access to the program, including all services, education, and support, will be offered on a subscription basis at a rate of £175 per month (exclusive of VAT) unless we have agreed otherwise.
This subscription will commence automatically at the end of the initial program term and will be charged on a recurring monthly basis using the original payment method or an alternative method provided by me, unless otherwise agreed. I may cancel this subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will be made thereafter. Full details of this ongoing subscription and the amount charged are provided at the point of purchase, on the sales page.
Support
I understand that this program provides scheduled education, group support and resources only. Unless explicitly included within my package, the program does not include unlimited one-to-one clinical advice, emergency support or individual case management.
My Responsibility
I understand that I am fully responsible for my health. IKRT is here to support and educate me, not to replace my doctor. If something falls outside IKRT’s area of expertise, they may recommend another professional. I accept that I am joining this program at my own risk, and I take full responsibility for any effects it may have on me. I also understand that educational materials should be reviewed before requesting support on topics already covered within the program.
Program Engagement and Compliance
I understand that to ensure my safety and the integrity of the program, I am expected to engage with the program in good faith and follow the recommendations provided by the IKRT clinical team. This includes, but is not limited to, adhering to my prescribed nutritional protocol and macronutrient targets, avoiding alcohol and recreational drugs where advised, not making independent changes to prescribed medications without the oversight of my treating healthcare professional, and following safety guidance provided by the team. Where, in the reasonable clinical judgement of the IKRT team, I fail to engage with or follow these recommendations, or my actions are considered to compromise my safety, the safety of others, or the effective delivery of the program, IKRT reserves the right to terminate my involvement in the program. In such circumstances, all fees remain payable and no refund will be issued.
My Data
I understand and accept that my purchase will result in the storage of data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Liability Waiver
By joining this program, I accept all risks associated with dietary and lifestyle changes, including the risk of harm or even death (however unlikely), and I will not hold IKRT, Dr Erin Louise Bellamy, or any team member responsible for anything that happens to me as a result of the program. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.
Confidentiality
IKRT Foundations Program: I understand that this is an educational program, not medical care, and participation occurs in a shared environment. Therefore, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in this program. I understand that all program members are asked to sign a short ‘Community Privacy Agreement (below)’ before participating. If IKRT is informed of a confidentiality breach, the individual responsible will be removed from the community platform.
Results
I understand that IKRT will support me in using the ketogenic diet safely. I also understand that results may vary, and there is no guarantee my mental health will improve. I understand that participating in the program may reveal previously undiagnosed or underlying medical conditions or may alter the presentation of existing health conditions, which may require assessment or treatment by my medical practitioner. Outcomes vary based on several factors, including individual biology, medication use, existing health conditions, and one’s capacity to engage in the process.
Technology Requirements - Client Responsibility
I understand that the IKRT Foundations program is delivered entirely online and that I am responsible for being proficient in the basic technologies required to participate fully.
I understand that, in order to take part in the program, I must be able to:
- Use email and calendar reliably
- Complete Google and online forms regularly and on time
- Purchase required items online
- Track my food intake using an app such as MyFitnessPal
- Measure my blood ketone levels using a Keto-Mojo meter
- Join and participate in Zoom video calls
- Engage with the community online
I understand that IKRT does not provide individual technical support and that I am expected to manage these tools independently. I understand that if I cannot use these technologies, cannot learn them, or cannot keep up with the program requirements, the responsibility lies with me. I acknowledge that difficulty with technology does not qualify me for additional support, exceptions, or refunds.
Communication
I understand that if I contact IKRT between scheduled appointments, then they may at their discretion, provide a brief response to me free of charge. If however, they consider that more time is needed to deal appropriately with my communication, then they may either:
advise me to book an appointment; or save my questions for my next scheduled appointment or support call, or inform me of the time needed to spend in responding to me and the fee which would be payable by me for such a response. They will obtain my approval to charge such a fee before incurring any fees.
Non-Appearance
I understand that if I reschedule an appointment or call within the Foundations (as an add on purchase), Mastery or 1:1 program with less than 48 hours' notice, the Appointment will be considered as "used" and it will not be possible to reschedule it. This is true of all situations, including when I am using a package or part of a program which includes weekly, bi-weekly or monthly appointments.
If I fail to attend my appointment and do not contact IKRT prior to my appointment to reschedule, the appointment will be considered as "used" and it will not be possible to reschedule it. Repeated missed appointments may result in termination of services without refund.
Circumstances Beyond IKRT’s Control
I understand that IKRT is not liable for delays or failure to fulfil its obligations due to events beyond its control (e.g. natural disasters, war, strikes, or network failures). If such events occur, IKRT will notify me as soon as possible, and its obligations will be paused for the duration of the disruption.
Governing Law
English law governs these Terms and the contract between IKRT and I. English courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute that may arise out of these Terms or the contract between IKRT and I.
Intellectual Property and AI
All educational materials and community data remain the intellectual property of IKRT. They may not be copied, distributed, reproduced, shared or used for commercial purposes without written permission. Educational materials may not be uploaded into AI systems for redistribution or commercial purposes.
Right to Modify the Program
IKRT may update educational materials, schedules, resources, platforms and program content where necessary to improve delivery or reflect emerging evidence.
Validity of Offers
Unless otherwise stated in writing, any quotation, offer, discount or invitation to join a program provided by IKRT is valid for three (3) months from the date it is issued. After this period, pricing, program structure and availability may change without notice.
Complaints and Concerns
If I have concerns regarding the program or the support I have received, I agree to raise these directly with IKRT by email at hello@ikrt.org. I understand that complaints or disputes regarding my individual care will not be discussed within the community or during live group support calls, as these spaces are intended for education and peer support for all members.
Consent to Participate
I understand everything explained above and agree to follow the program guidelines. I accept the terms and know that results may vary, especially since the science behind Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy is still developing.
GROUP PARTICIPATION AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
I understand that the live group Q&A calls are a shared educational and peer-support environment. All members have the right to learn in a respectful, supportive and psychologically safe setting.
By joining the program, I agree to:
- Treat all members and IKRT staff with courtesy and respect.
- Allow others the opportunity to speak without interruption.
- Express concerns, questions and differing opinions respectfully.
- Follow reasonable instructions from the facilitator during live sessions.
The following behaviours are not acceptable:
- Aggressive, abusive, intimidating or threatening behaviour.
- Repeated interruptions or behaviour that prevents the group from functioning effectively.
- Personal attacks towards participants or IKRT staff.
- Shouting, hostile confrontation or behaviour that causes significant disruption to the group.
- Repeated refusal to follow the facilitator's reasonable requests.
- Behaviour which, in IKRT's reasonable opinion, compromises the safety, wellbeing or learning experience of other participants.
Where behaviour falls below these standards, IKRT may take one or more of the following actions:
- issue a verbal or written warning;
- ask the participant to leave a live group session;
- temporarily suspend access to live group calls or the community;
- permanently remove the participant from the group program where behaviour continues or is considered sufficiently serious.
These decisions will be made at IKRT's reasonable discretion with the aim of protecting the wellbeing and learning experience of all participants. Removal from group sessions or the program due to behavioural concerns does not affect the member's payment obligations as set out in this agreement. Payment for the whole program still remains due.
LIVE Q&A SESSIONS
The weekly Q&A sessions are intended to provide education and general implementation guidance that benefits all members. To help ensure the sessions remain valuable for everyone:
- Questions should relate to implementing ketogenic metabolic therapy or the educational content within the program.
- Questions should be submitted in advance using the Q&A form provided.
- Individual complaints, disputes or disagreements regarding previous advice or interactions with IKRT should be raised privately by email and will not be discussed during live group sessions.
- Questions relating to psychiatric medication changes, tapering schedules or prescribing decisions will not be discussed during the live Q&A. Participants should refer to the dedicated educational resources provided within the program and consult their prescribing clinician regarding medication decisions.
- IKRT reserves the right to redirect discussion where necessary to ensure the session remains educational, respectful and beneficial for the wider group.
COMMUNITY PRIVACY AGREEMENT
I understand that this is an educational program, not medical care, and participation takes place in a shared environment. As such, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. However, if IKRT confirms a confidentiality breach, the individual responsible will be removed from the community platform.
Private Community on Simplero Platform
I understand that the private community platform, where I may seek support between calls from other members, is GDPR compliant but is not HIPAA compliant. This means the platform is not designed to store or protect sensitive medical information in the way a healthcare provider’s system would. This is because:
- The platform does not collect, store, or process any personal health information (all personal health data is securely managed within PracticeBetter).
- The community is intended for education, peer support, and general discussion only, and does not constitute a practitioner-client relationship.
I agree to:
Be Kind and Respectful
Treat all members with kindness, empathy and respect. We welcome diverse experiences and encourage supportive, non-judgmental conversations.
Use the Community for Peer Support
This community is for connecting with others, celebrating wins, sharing recipes, practical tips, lived experiences and encouragement. Supporting one another is one of the most valuable parts of the IKRT program.
Use the Q&A for Personalised Support
If you need advice about your own situation, for example, worsening symptoms, ketone levels, troubleshooting, medication questions, or what changes to make, please use the Q&A submission form. This allows Dr Erin to review your circumstances and provide evidence-informed guidance that's appropriate for you.
Posts requesting personalised clinical advice may be redirected to the Q&A or removed along with any negative posts to keep the community focused on peer support.
Stay On Topic
Please keep discussions focused on ketogenic metabolic therapy, metabolic psychiatry and mental health. No discussions about medications or tapering medications are allowed. Please refer to the medication tapering resources post by searching in the search bar.
Protect Privacy
Everything shared here stays here. Please do not screenshot, copy or share another member's posts, comments or personal stories outside the community.
Share Experiences, Not Medical Advice
You're welcome to share your own experiences, but please avoid telling others what they should do medically or nutritionally. Everyone's circumstances are different.
No Promotions or Self-Promotion
Please don't advertise products, services or personal businesses without prior moderator approval.
Report Concerns
If you see anything inappropriate or concerning, please let the moderators know so we can keep this community safe and supportive.
Terms
I understand and agree to the IKRT terms (please read).
I hereby acknowledge and agree:
By signing this document, I acknowledge that I understand the information shared above, and I consent to the recommendations of the best practice outlined in the document.
