IKRT PROGRAMS AGREEMENT AND TERMS

To consult with Integrative Ketogenic Research & Therapies Ltd, and their programs and services, I agree to the following statements:

Legal Agreements
If I have any legal issue or complaint about this program, I agree to go through the English courts only (not courts in the US, EU, or anywhere else). This agreement follows the laws of England.

Program Fees
By joining the IKRT 1:1 program, I agree to pay for the full program, even if I decide to stop early or delay starting. I understand this is because IKRT prepares and invests in the program and I before it starts.

Payments
I agree to pay for the full program, either:
- All at once (upfront), or
- In monthly payments we’ve agreed on.

I understand these monthly payments are to help me manage costs, not a “pay-as-you-go” system. I must finish all payments even if I leave the program early or if my access is suspended due to non-payment. This is because a significant amount of work, planning, and resources are invested upfront to support my experience and participation. 

Timely payment is required to maintain enrollment and access to program content. If a monthly payment is missed, IKRT may suspend access until all payments are brought up to date. Following a missed payment, there is a 3-day grace period to pay what is outstanding. If non-payment continues beyond this period, IKRT may terminate participation in the program and require payment of all amounts due, including both past missed payments and the remainder of the program.

Refunds
I understand that refunds are not issued if I decide the program isn’t for me; this is in line with how most educational or healthcare programs operate. While I am free to step back at any point, payment for the full program remains due.

Cooling-Off Period
I understand that under UK consumer law I am entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of payment. If I cancel during this period, I will receive a refund minus a £50 fee to cover non-refundable card processing charges and administration carried out immediately after purchase. This does not affect my statutory rights.

Note from IKRT:
We know life can be unpredictable. In rare and exceptional circumstances (like a serious illness or family emergency), we may, at our sole discretion, offer a refund or reschedule outside of our usual policies. These are case-by-case decisions, are not guaranteed, and do not create a rule for the future. IKRT’s decision on what counts as an extraordinary circumstance is final.

My Responsibility
I understand that I am fully responsible for my health. IKRT is here to support and educate me, not to replace my doctor. If something falls outside IKRT’s area of expertise, they may recommend another professional. I accept that I am joining this program at my own risk, and I take full responsibility for any effects it may have on me.

My Data
I understand and accept that my purchase will result in the storage of data.  

Liability Waiver
By joining this program, I accept all risks associated with dietary and lifestyle changes, including the risk of harm or even death (however unlikely), and I will not hold IKRT, Erin Louise Bellamy, or any team member responsible for anything that happens to me as a result of the program. This includes any illness or injury, whether or not it was caused by a mistake.

Confidentiality
IKRT 1:1 Services: I understand that confidentiality is guaranteed through 1:1 services.

Results
I understand that IKRT will support me in using the ketogenic diet safely. I also understand that results may vary, and there is no guarantee my mental health will improve. It is also possible that implementing a ketogenic diet may uncover previously unknown medical conditions.
Outcomes vary based on several factors, including individual biology, medication use, existing health conditions, and one’s capacity to engage in the process.

Consent to Participate
I understand everything explained above and agree to follow the program guidelines. I accept the terms and know that results may vary, especially since the science behind Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy is still developing.

1:1 Services
I understand that IKRT services are offered as packages, each with a set number of appointments specified at the time of purchase. Payment for these packages is required upfront, before my initial appointment or consultation.

Monthly payments may not directly correlate with the number of appointments used. If payment for the services is not received when due, IKRT may suspend the services immediately until the outstanding amount is paid.

Communication
I understand that if I contact IKRT between scheduled appointments, then they may at their discretion, provide a brief response to me free of charge. If however, they consider that more time is needed to deal appropriately with my communication, then they may either:
advise me to book an appointment; or save my questions for my next scheduled appointment, or inform me of the time needed to spend in responding to me and the fee which would be payable by me for such a response. They will obtain my approval to charge such a fee before incurring any fees.

Non-Appearance
I understand that if I reschedule an appointment or call within the Foundations (as an add on purchase), Mastery or 1:1 program with less than 48 hours' notice, the Appointment will be considered as "used" and it will not be possible to reschedule it. This is true of all situations, including when I am using a package or part of a program which includes weekly, bi-weekly or monthly appointments.

If I fail to attend my appointment and do not contact IKRT prior to my appointment to reschedule, the appointment will be considered as "used" and it will not be possible to reschedule it. Repeated missed appointments may result in termination of services without refund.

Initial Consultation Forms
I understand that to provide the services, IKRT will require certain information from me. This includes the Nutritional Intake form, and Metabolic Mental Health Intake form, which must be submitted at least 24 hours before the initial consultation.

These forms are available online through Practice Better, and I will gain access to them shortly after purchasing my appointment, call, or package. If I fail to provide this required information, or if I provide incomplete or incorrect details after IKRT requests them, they may postpone the services on short notice, and I will still be charged the full consultation fee of £199.

I agree to provide true and accurate answers to the questions. IKRT are not liable for any delays or non-performance due to missing or incorrect information. If the services are deferred, it will not affect my obligation to pay any invoices already issued.

Cancellation
I understand I may cancel any order for Services with at least 2 working days (48 hours) notice before the initial appointment by emailing: hello@ikrt.org. If I cancel an order and I have made a payment in advance for services that have not been provided to me or initiated, IKRT will provide me with a full refund minus a £50 admin fee.

However, no refund will be issued if the order is cancelled with less than 2 working days notice before the initial appointment or if IKRT has already started providing the services by that time.

Circumstances Beyond IKRT’s Control
I understand that IKRT are not liable for delays or failure to fulfil its obligations due to events beyond its control (e.g. natural disasters, war, strikes, or network failures). If such events occur, IKRT will notify me as soon as possible, and its obligations will be paused for the duration of the disruption.

Governing Law
English law governs these Terms and the contract between IKRT and I. English courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute that may arise out of these Terms or the contract between IKRT and I.

IKRT Permissions and Privacy

To consult with and use the programs and services of Integrative Ketogenic Research & Therapies Ltd., I agree to the following statements:

• I understand there are other treatment options, and I’ve decided to try the ketogenic diet with Integrative Ketogenic Research & Therapies Ltd (IKRT) as an extra option along with my current treatment. This may include my current medications.

• I understand that the ketogenic diet for mental health isn’t well researched yet, so we don’t know exactly how it will affect me. It may or may not help my mental health, and results can vary between people. If I take psychiatric medication, this diet may or may not change my medication needs over time.

• I understand IKRT does not replace my psychiatrist, doctor, or mental health team. They will give me helpful advice and information, but I will continue to see my regular doctor or mental health professional. I will always follow my doctor’s advice about medications.

• I understand that IKRT expressly disclaims all responsibility and will not be held liable for any damages, loss, injury, or liability suffered by me or any third party as a result of my reliance on the information or guidance provided.

• I understand IKRT is for support and education only, not for medical care. My regular doctor or psychiatrist will still be in charge of my overall medical care.

• I agree not to change or stop any of my medications without first talking to my doctor or psychiatrist. If I feel much better or worse, I will contact them to discuss if my medication needs adjusting.

• I understand that starting the ketogenic diet could make my mental health worse, especially in the beginning. If I start feeling mentally unwell or like I’m relapsing (e.g., feeling depressed, anxious, unstable, or suicidal), I will contact my doctor and medical team. 

• In case of an emergency, I will seek help from my local emergency services. I will not delay seeking or disregard medical advice, or discontinue medical treatment based on information or guidance provided by IKRT.

• I understand that the ketogenic diet limits certain foods, so I will make sure I’m still eating enough healthy foods. IKRT will help me with this.

• I understand that to give the ketogenic diet the best chance of working, I need to stick with it for at least 3 months without cheating (like eating high-carb foods or drinking alcohol). I understand that following the diet is important to give me the best chance of experiencing mental health improvements. 

• I understand that if I eat foods that contain sugar or carbohydrates, I will come out of ketosis (the special state the diet puts my body in). This could cause a quick relapse in my mental health. If that happens, I will contact my doctor. 

• I acknowledge that regularly checking my ketone levels using a simple blood test and sharing these results with IKRT supports achieving the best possible outcome. While I am not required to do so, I understand that choosing not to monitor or share my results may limit the effectiveness of the support I receive and the results I experience.

• I agree to track my food macronutrients as recommended by the IKRT team and to complete mental health assessment forms at the start, during, and after the program. These forms will be provided securely via IKRT’s website. While participation in tracking and assessments is optional, I understand that choosing not to do so may limit the effectiveness of the support provided and the results I achieve.

• I understand that if I decide to stop the ketogenic diet, I can do so at any time, but I agree to gradually transition off it with my medical team’s support to make sure it doesn’t negatively affect my mental health.

• I assume all risks associated with participating in the Sessions and appointments, including but not limited to the risks of trying new foods, dietary changes, food supplements, and making lifestyle changes.

• I understand that my confidentiality cannot be guaranteed during education and support calls, as others will see and hear me. I understand I may use an alias if I wish.

• I understand that recording consultations or any sessions and using any form of electronic media is not allowed without the written permission of both me and IKRT.

My Data Security

I agree to let IKRT collect and process information about me on Practice Better, which is a HIPAA-approved, fully GDPR compliant platform. 

• HIPAA sets standards for protecting sensitive health information from being disclosed without your consent or knowledge

I understand that my access to and use of this Service is conditioned on my acceptance of and compliance with this Term. My personal information will be kept private and will only be shared with others if I give permission or if required by law. You can read more here: https://www.ikrt.org/privacy 

Practice Better

Practice Better is an electronic practice management tool which stores health records, appointment information, and communication between practitioners and clients.

Private Community on Simplero Platform 

I understand that the private community platform, where I may seek support between calls from other members, is GDPR compliant but is not HIPAA compliant. 

This means the platform is not designed to store or protect sensitive medical information in the way a healthcare provider’s system would.

This is because:

• The platform does not collect, store, or process any personal health information (all personal health data is securely managed within PracticeBetter).
• The community is intended for education, peer support, and general discussion only, and does not constitute a practitioner-client relationship.

Payment Processing

I understand that to keep my payment details secure, IKRT uses trusted third-party processors like Stripe and PayPal to handle all transactions. My payment information is sent directly to them and protected by their advanced security systems and privacy policies. All payments are encrypted and processed in line with strict industry standards (PCI-DSS compliant).

By making a purchase, I am also agreeing to the terms and policies of the payment processor I choose at checkout. I understand that any issues with the payment process itself (like delays or errors) may need to be resolved directly with them.

Please read the following statement carefully:

• I agree that IKRT may use anonymous quotes from my experience to help other healthcare professionals learn more about how the ketogenic diet works for mental health. My name will never be used.
  
  
• I agree that IKRT can share my anonymised (no personal details) information with researchers at the University of East London for research purposes. I understand that the findings may be published anonymously in scientific literature, including journal articles, research studies, and conference presentations, with no personally identifiable information disclosed. This will guide clinicians on the use of KMT for psychiatric conditions with their patients. I understand that I can withdraw my consent at any time.

Final Agreement

I have read this agreement, understand it, and agree to everything stated above. I understand this is a complete and final agreement, and that I release IKRT from any future claims or costs related to the programs and services.
