IKRT Permissions and Privacy

IKRT Privacy and Permissions Agreement
To use the programs and services of Integrative Ketogenic Research and Therapies Ltd (IKRT), I agree to the statements below. This agreement goes together with the IKRT Programs Agreement and Terms.

My treatment, my doctor and my medication

  • I understand there are other treatment options. I have decided to try the ketogenic diet with IKRT as an extra option alongside my current treatment, which may include my current medications.
  • I understand that the ketogenic diet for mental health is not well researched yet, so we do not know exactly how it will affect me. It may or may not help my mental health, and results vary between people. If I take psychiatric medication, the diet may or may not change my medication needs over time.
  • I understand IKRT is for support and education only, not medical care. IKRT does not replace my psychiatrist, doctor or mental health team. They will stay in charge of my overall medical care, and I will keep seeing them.
  • I will always follow my doctor's advice about medication. I will not change or stop any medication without first talking to my doctor or psychiatrist. If I feel much better or worse, I will contact them to discuss whether my medication needs adjusting.

Risks, side effects and emergencies

  • I understand that starting the ketogenic diet could make my mental health worse, especially at the beginning. If I start to feel mentally unwell or like I am relapsing (for example, depressed, anxious, unstable or suicidal), I will contact my doctor and medical team.
  • I understand that ketogenic metabolic therapy may also cause physical side effects or adverse events, including some that are uncommon, rare or not yet fully understood. If I have any new or worsening physical or mental symptoms, I will tell the IKRT team promptly and get assessed by my GP, psychiatrist or another suitable medical professional without delay.
  • I understand that if I eat foods with sugar or carbohydrates, I will come out of ketosis. This could cause a quick relapse in my mental health. If that happens, I will contact my doctor.
  • I understand the diet limits certain foods, so I will make sure I am still eating enough healthy foods. IKRT will help me with this.
  • I understand that to give the diet the best chance of working, I need to stick with it for at least 3 months without cheating (like eating high-carb foods or drinking alcohol).
  • I can stop the diet at any time, but I agree to come off it gradually with my medical team's support, so it does not affect my mental health.
  • I accept the risks of taking part, including trying new foods, changing my diet, taking food supplements and making lifestyle changes.

In an emergency
IKRT does not provide emergency or ongoing medical care. If I am in crisis or there is an emergency, I will call 999, go to A&E, or contact my local emergency services if I live outside the UK. For urgent help that is not an emergency, I can call NHS 111. I can call Samaritans at any time on 116 123. I will not delay getting medical help, ignore medical advice, or stop medical treatment because of information from IKRT.

Monitoring, tracking and forms

  • I understand that regularly checking my blood ketone levels and sharing the results with IKRT supports the best possible outcome. I do not have to do this, but choosing not to may limit the support I receive and the results I experience.
  • I agree to track my food macronutrients as recommended by the IKRT team, and to complete mental health assessment forms at the start, during and at the end of the program. These forms are provided securely through IKRT's website. Taking part in tracking and assessments is optional, but choosing not to may limit the support I receive and the results I experience.

Confidentiality, recording and my data

Group calls and the community
My confidentiality cannot be guaranteed on group calls, because others will see and hear me. I may use an alias if I wish.

1:1 calls and my records
What I share with IKRT one-to-one, and in my forms and records, is kept confidential. IKRT will only share it:

  • with my permission
  • if the law requires it
  • if IKRT believes I or someone else is at serious risk of harm. In that case IKRT may contact my GP, my mental health team or emergency services. Where it is safe and possible, IKRT will talk to me first.

Recording
IKRT never records group calls. I will not record any call or session, or take photos or screenshots of it, without written permission from both me and IKRT.

My data
IKRT handles my personal information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). Information about my health is a special type of personal data, and IKRT uses it with my consent to provide my program. My information is kept private and is only shared as described in this agreement, with my permission, or where the law requires. More detail is in the IKRT Privacy Policy: https://www.ikrt.org/privacy

Practice Better
IKRT stores my health records, appointment information and messages with the IKRT team securely on Practice Better, a practice management platform. Practice Better's privacy policy: https://practicebetter.io/privacy/

The private community on Simplero
The community, where I can get peer support between calls, runs on Simplero. It is for education, peer support and general discussion, and is not a practitioner-client relationship. Simplero is not designed to store health records. My health records are kept on Practice Better, not in the community. Anything I post in the community, including about my health, can be seen by other members, so I will only share what I am comfortable with. Simplero's privacy policy: https://simplero.com/privacy-policy

Payments
IKRT uses trusted payment processors, such as Stripe and PayPal, to handle payments securely. My card details go directly to them, and IKRT does not store them. By paying, I also agree to the terms of the payment processor I choose. Problems with the payment process itself (such as delays or errors) may need to be sorted out with them. This does not affect my rights with IKRT.

Optional permissions
Please read each statement carefully and choose yes or no. Saying no does not affect my place on the program, and I can change my mind at any time by emailing hello@ikrt.org.

Anonymous quotes
IKRT may use anonymous quotes about my experience to help other healthcare professionals learn how the ketogenic diet works for mental health. My name will never be used.

Research with the University of East London
IKRT may share my anonymised information (with no personal details) with researchers at the University of East London for research purposes. The findings may be published anonymously in journal articles, research studies and conference presentations, with nothing that could identify me. This helps guide clinicians on using KMT for psychiatric conditions with their patients.

Group participation and conduct
The live group Q&A calls are a shared space for education and peer support. Everyone has the right to learn in a respectful, supportive and psychologically safe setting.

I agree to:

  • treat all members and IKRT staff with courtesy and respect
  • let others speak without interrupting
  • raise concerns, questions and different opinions respectfully
  • follow reasonable instructions from the facilitator during live sessions

These behaviours are not acceptable:

  • aggressive, abusive, intimidating or threatening behaviour
  • repeated interruptions, or behaviour that stops the group from working well
  • personal attacks on members or IKRT staff
  • shouting, hostile confrontation, or behaviour that seriously disrupts the group
  • repeatedly refusing the facilitator's reasonable requests
  • behaviour that, in IKRT's reasonable opinion, puts the safety, wellbeing or learning of other members at risk

What IKRT may do
If behaviour falls below these standards, IKRT may do one or more of the following:

  • give a verbal or written warning
  • ask the person to leave a live session
  • pause their access to live calls or the community for a time
  • permanently remove them from the program if the behaviour continues or is serious enough

IKRT will make these decisions reasonably, to protect the wellbeing and learning of all members. If someone is removed after their 14-day cancellation period, the full program price is still due, as set out in the IKRT Programs Agreement and Terms.

Live Q&A sessions
The weekly Q&A sessions give education and general guidance on putting KMT into practice, in a way that helps all members. To keep them useful for everyone:

  • Questions should be about putting ketogenic metabolic therapy into practice, or about the program's educational content.
  • Questions should be sent in advance using the Q&A form.
  • Complaints, disputes or disagreements about previous advice or dealings with IKRT should be raised privately by email. They will not be discussed in live sessions.
  • Questions about psychiatric medication changes, tapering or prescribing will not be discussed. I will use the program's educational resources on this and talk to my prescribing clinician about any medication decisions.
  • IKRT may redirect the discussion when needed, to keep the session educational, respectful and useful for the whole group.

Community Privacy Agreement
The community is part of an educational program, not medical care, and it is a shared space, so confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. If IKRT confirms that someone has broken this agreement, that person will be removed from the community.

I agree to:

  • Be kind and respectful. Treat all members with kindness, empathy and respect. Diverse experiences are welcome, and conversations should be supportive and non-judgemental.
  • Use the community for peer support. It is for connecting with others, celebrating wins, sharing recipes, practical tips, lived experiences and encouragement.
  • Use the Q&A form for questions about my own situation. For example, worsening symptoms, ketone levels or troubleshooting. Dr Erin will answer these with general educational guidance in the Q&A. Medication questions go to my prescribing clinician, not the community or the Q&A. Posts asking for personal advice may be moved to the Q&A or removed.
  • Stay on topic. Keep discussions focused on ketogenic metabolic therapy, metabolic psychiatry and mental health. Medications and tapering are not discussed in the community. I can find the medication tapering resources by searching the community.
  • Protect privacy. What is shared here stays here. I will not screenshot, copy or share another member's posts, comments or personal stories outside the community.
  • Share experiences, not medical advice. I can share my own experiences, but I will not tell others what they should do medically or nutritionally. Everyone's circumstances are different.
  • Not promote anything. I will not advertise products, services or businesses without approval from a moderator.
  • Report concerns. If I see anything inappropriate or worrying, I will tell the moderators so the community stays safe and supportive.

Posts that do not follow these guidelines may be removed.

My agreement

  • I have read and understood this agreement and the IKRT Programs Agreement and Terms, and I agree to them.
  • These two documents, together with the consents I gave at sign-up, make up my full agreement with IKRT.
  • Responsibility and liability are covered in the IKRT Programs Agreement and Terms.
  • If I have any questions, or disagree with anything here, I will email hello@ikrt.org before signing.
IKRT Program Agreement

IKRT PROGRAMS AGREEMENT AND TERMS

To consult with Integrative Ketogenic Research & Therapies Ltd, and their programs and services, I agree to the following statements:

About these terms
These terms explain what I am signing up for when I join a program or service with Integrative Ketogenic Research and Therapies Ltd (IKRT). By joining, I agree to the statements below.

Who I am dealing with

  • Integrative Ketogenic Research and Therapies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales
  • Company number: 15159058
  • Email: hello@ikrt.org

I may deal with members of the IKRT team or a shared support inbox for admin, payments and refunds. Whoever I deal with, my contract is always with IKRT.

When I can join early (the separate consent step)
Before I get access to anything, IKRT will ask me to confirm two things in a separate step at sign-up:

  1. Whether I want to start straight away, before my 14-day cancellation period ends.
  2. That I understand what this means for refunds if I cancel (explained in the section on cancelling in the first 14 days).

IKRT will then email me a copy of these terms and a written confirmation of what I agreed to in that step. I will keep these for my records.

Who can join

  • I must be 18 or over.
  • I will give IKRT honest and complete information about my health, medication and history, and tell IKRT straight away if anything changes.
  • If IKRT finds that I did not give honest or complete information, IKRT may end my place. If this happens after my 14-day cancellation period, the full program price is still due.

If the program is not suitable for me
IKRT reviews my forms, history and blood tests when I join. If IKRT decides the program is not safe or suitable for me, IKRT will end my place and refund what I have paid, minus the price of any calls I have already had.

What each program includes and how the price is split
Each program is made up of two kinds of things, and the law treats them differently:

  • Digital content: pre-recorded modules and materials I can watch or read in my own time.
  • Live services: group Q&A calls, 1:1 calls, and the work IKRT does for me between calls.

So that any refund is fair and easy to check, the price of each program is split like this:

About the 1:1 Program

The 1:1 Program costs more because so much of the work happens between calls. It includes:

  • Set-up (£799): onboarding, reviewing my forms and history, reviewing my blood tests, and setting up my plan. This work is done at the start, before my first call.
  • Each 1:1 call (£320): the 60-minute call with Dr Bellamy, preparation before it, follow-up after it, and review of my ketone readings and food diary in the weeks around it.

All prices are before VAT. VAT is added at the current rate.

Paying for my program
I agree to pay for the full program, either:

  • All at once (upfront), which costs less, or
  • In the monthly payments we have agreed, which costs more.

Monthly payments are there to help me spread the cost. They are not a pay-as-you-go system. IKRT reserves my place and commits time and resources to me before the program starts, and the program includes digital content and scheduled live support. So once my 14-day cancellation period has ended, I agree to finish all my payments, even if:

  • I stop early, delay starting or do not start at all
  • I am unable to continue for any reason
  • IKRT ends my place because of disruptive behaviour, not following the program guidance, or safety concerns
  • my access is paused or my place is ended because of missed payments

Missed payments
I need to keep my payments up to date to keep my place and my access. If I miss a payment:

  • IKRT will pause my access straight away.
  • My access will be turned back on as soon as I pay what I owe.
  • If I have not paid within 3 days, IKRT may end my place on the program. I will still owe the payments that are due.

Failed payments
If a payment does not go through, IKRT may try it again. IKRT may also use another payment method I have already given and agreed can be used for this program.

Payment disputes and chargebacks
If I am unhappy about a payment, I will contact IKRT at hello@ikrt.org first so we can try to sort it out. If I raise a dispute or chargeback with my bank or card provider:

  • IKRT may pause my access while the dispute is open.
  • IKRT will share my agreement, consents, payment records and usage records with my bank so it can make a decision.
  • A dispute or chargeback does not cancel any money I owe under these terms.

Unpaid money
If I owe money that is overdue, IKRT may:

  • charge interest on the overdue amount at 4% a year above the Bank of England base rate, from the date it was due until it is paid
  • pass the debt to a debt collection agency or make a claim in court
  • ask me to pay the reasonable costs of recovering the debt, where the law allows

Cancelling in the first 14 days

Under UK consumer law, I have 14 days from the day I buy to change my mind and cancel.

How to cancel

  • I just need to email hello@ikrt.org and say clearly that I want to cancel.
  • My cancellation counts from the day I send it, not the day IKRT reads it.

If I have not used anything
I get a full refund. There is no admin fee, processing fee or any other charge taken off.

If I have started using the program
Digital content and live services are worked out separately.

Digital content (pre-recorded modules):

  • If, in the separate consent step at sign-up, I asked for access straight away and confirmed I understood I would lose my right to cancel for the digital content once I accessed it, and IKRT emailed me confirmation of this, then IKRT will keep the part of the digital content price that matches how much of the content I have completed. This is based on the progress shown on the course platform. The rest of the digital content price is refunded.
  • If I did not give that consent, or IKRT did not confirm it to me in writing, the digital content price is refunded in full.

Live services (group calls, 1:1 calls, set-up work):

  • If, in the separate consent step at sign-up, I asked for live services to start within my 14 days, IKRT will keep a fair amount for what has actually been delivered to me before I cancelled, using the prices in the table above:
    • each group call I attended
    • each 1:1 call I had
    • for the 1:1 Program, the set-up fee if the set-up work was done before I cancelled (or a fair share of it if only part was done)
  • If I did not ask for live services to start early, I will not be charged for any of them.

Single consultation call:

  • If, in the separate consent step at sign-up, I asked to have my call within my 14 days and confirmed I understood I would lose my right to cancel once the call had taken place, I cannot cancel for a refund after my call.

Example (Mastery)

I join Mastery and pay £2,398.80 (£1,999 plus 20% VAT), and give both consents at sign-up. On day 12 I email to cancel. By then I have completed 10% of the modules and attended 3 group calls. IKRT keeps £45.90 (10% of £459) plus £30 (3 calls at £10), plus VAT on these (£15.18). I get a refund of £2,307.72.

Getting my money back
IKRT will refund me within 14 days of receiving my cancellation, using the same payment method I used to pay, unless we agree otherwise. There is no charge for the refund.

After the first 14 days
Once my 14 days have passed, I can no longer cancel for a refund just because I have changed my mind or my circumstances have changed. I am free to step back from the program at any time, but the full program price is still due.

This does not take away my legal rights.

Program length, extensions and ongoing access
My program runs for a fixed time from the date I buy: 12 months for Mastery and 12 weeks for the 1:1 Program. For consultation packages, I must use my calls within 3 months of buying. Any calls I have not used by then expire and are not refunded.

Extensions
If life gets in the way and I cannot take part as planned, IKRT cannot offer free extensions. This is because more time on the program means more professional support and resources.

Pausing my program
If something serious happens, such as a serious illness, a personal hospital stay or a bereavement, I can ask IKRT by email to pause my program. Pauses are at IKRT's discretion and can last up to 3 months. IKRT may ask for reasonable evidence. If IKRT agrees, my program end date moves back by the length of the pause. My monthly payments carry on as normal during a pause, unless IKRT agrees otherwise.

Transfers and upgrades

  • My place is personal to me. I cannot pass it to anyone else.
  • If I want to move to a different program, such as from Mastery to the 1:1 Program, I can ask IKRT. Any credit for what I have already paid is at IKRT's discretion.

If I die during the program
No further payments will be due.

Ongoing access after my program ends
When my program ends, I can keep access to the program, education and support on a monthly subscription of £175 per month (plus VAT), unless we have agreed something different.

  • The subscription starts automatically when my program ends, unless I tell IKRT I do not want it.
  • IKRT will remind me by email at least 14 days before it starts.
  • It is charged monthly to the payment method I used before, or another one I give.
  • I can cancel at any time. My cancellation takes effect at the end of the month I have paid for, and I will not be charged again.
  • The full details and price are shown on the sales page when I buy.

Support, contact and appointments

What support is included
My program gives me the scheduled education, group support, resources and calls listed for my program above. Unless my package says otherwise, it does not include unlimited one-to-one advice, emergency support or individual case management. I will check the educational materials first before asking about topics they already cover.

IKRT is not an emergency service. If I am in crisis or there is an emergency, I will call 999, go to A&E, or contact my local emergency services if I live outside the UK. For urgent help that is not an emergency, I can call NHS 111. I can call Samaritans at any time on 116 123.

Contacting IKRT between calls
If I contact IKRT between scheduled calls, IKRT may give me a short reply free of charge. If my question needs more time, IKRT may:

  • ask me to book a call, or
  • save my question for my next call, or
  • tell me how much time it would take and what it would cost.

IKRT will always ask me before charging for anything extra.

Rescheduling and missed calls
This applies to 1:1 calls in Mastery and the 1:1 Program:

  • If I reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, the call counts as used and cannot be rebooked.
  • If I do not turn up and have not told IKRT beforehand, the call counts as used and cannot be rebooked.
  • If I keep missing calls, IKRT may end my place on the program.

My health, my responsibility and results

Education, not medical care
IKRT's programs are education and support. They are not medical care and do not replace my doctor. IKRT does not diagnose conditions or give advice about my medication. Any questions about my own medical care or medication go to my doctor or treating healthcare professional. If something is outside IKRT's area of expertise, IKRT may suggest I see another professional.

My responsibility
I am responsible for my own health and for the choices I make. I am joining the program at my own risk.

Results

  • Results vary from person to person, and there is no guarantee my mental health will improve.
  • Outcomes depend on many things, including my biology, my medication, my existing health conditions and how much I am able to take part.
  • Changing my diet may reveal health conditions I did not know about, or change how existing conditions show up. These may need checking or treatment by my doctor.
  • The science behind Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy is still developing.

Taking part safely
To keep me safe and keep the program working well for everyone, I agree to take part in good faith and follow the guidance the IKRT team gives me. This includes:

  • following my agreed nutrition plan and targets
  • avoiding alcohol and recreational drugs where advised
  • not changing my medication without my own doctor or treating healthcare professional overseeing it
  • following the safety guidance I am given

If the IKRT team reasonably believes I am not following this guidance, or that my actions put my safety or other people's safety at risk, or stop the program from running properly, IKRT may end my place on the program. Where it is safe to do so, IKRT will talk to me about it first. If this happens after my 14-day cancellation period, the full program price is still due and no refund is given.

Risks and liability
Changing my diet and lifestyle carries risks, including the risk of harm or, very rarely, death. I accept these risks. IKRT, Dr Erin Louise Bellamy and the IKRT team are not responsible for what happens to me as a result of choices I make on the program.

If IKRT is responsible for a loss I suffer, IKRT's total responsibility is limited to the amount I have paid for my program. IKRT is not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been expected when I joined, or for any business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits IKRT's responsibility for death or personal injury caused by IKRT's negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Other products and costs
I pay for anything I need from other companies, such as a Keto-Mojo meter and strips, apps, blood tests, food and supplements. These are not included in the program price. IKRT is not responsible for other companies' products or services.

Technology, privacy and IKRT's materials

Technology I need
The programs are delivered online. To take part, I need to be able to:

  • use email and a calendar reliably
  • fill in Google and other online forms on time
  • buy the items I need online
  • track my food with an app such as MyFitnessPal
  • measure my blood ketones with a Keto-Mojo meter
  • join and take part in Zoom calls
  • take part in the online community

IKRT does not provide one-to-one technical support, and I am expected to manage these tools myself. If I have a disability or health condition that makes any of this hard, I will tell IKRT before I join so we can talk about what reasonable adjustments can be made. Difficulty with technology on its own is not a reason for extra support, exceptions or refunds.

Confidentiality in group spaces
Group calls and the community are shared spaces, so IKRT cannot guarantee confidentiality there. Everyone in the community agrees to the Community Privacy Agreement, which is part of the IKRT Privacy and Permissions Agreement. IKRT never records group calls. If IKRT learns that someone has broken it, that person will be removed from the community.

My data
IKRT stores and uses my data as set out in the IKRT Privacy and Permissions Agreement and the IKRT Privacy Policy.

IKRT's materials and AI

  • All educational materials and community content belong to IKRT. I will not copy, share, sell or reproduce them without IKRT's written permission.
  • I will not upload IKRT's materials into AI tools to share them or use them commercially.
  • If I am a healthcare professional, educator, coach, researcher or other professional, I will not use, teach, share or repurpose IKRT's content, materials, frameworks or learnings in my own work without IKRT's written permission. I will not use or share what other members tell me or go through for these purposes either.

Other things I should know

Changes to the program
IKRT may update materials, schedules, platforms and content to improve the program or reflect new evidence. These changes will not take away the main things I paid for.

Offers and quotes
Unless IKRT says otherwise in writing, any quote, offer or discount is valid for 3 months from the date it is given. After that, prices, program content and availability may change.

Things outside IKRT's control
IKRT is not responsible for delays or problems caused by events it cannot control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes or internet failures. If this happens, IKRT will tell me as soon as possible and will pick things back up once the problem is over.

If IKRT cannot deliver my program
If IKRT has to cancel calls, for example because Dr Bellamy is ill, IKRT will rearrange them. If IKRT stops running my program, cannot deliver a large part of it, or changes it in a way that takes away the main things I paid for, I can choose to end my place. IKRT will then refund the part of the price for anything not delivered, using the price split in these terms.

Complaints and concerns
If I am unhappy with the program or my support, I will email hello@ikrt.org. Complaints about my own care will not be discussed in the community or on group calls, as these spaces are for education and peer support for everyone.

Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If I live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, I can also take a claim to the courts where I live. If I live outside the UK, I may also have rights under the law of the country I live in.

How these terms fit together

My agreement with IKRT is made up of:

  • these terms
  • the IKRT Privacy and Permissions Agreement
  • the consents I gave in the separate step at sign-up

If these terms and the Privacy and Permissions Agreement say different things, these terms apply, except on how my data is used, where the Privacy and Permissions Agreement applies. What the sales page says about my program is also part of what I am buying.

Changes to these terms
IKRT may update these terms from time to time. Changes will not apply to a program I have already paid for, unless the law requires it or the change is minor and does not affect me. For the ongoing subscription, IKRT will give me at least 30 days' notice by email before a change applies, and I can cancel before then.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced

KMT for Major Depressive Disorder

I have been battling MDD for 45 years and have tried so many different medications.  In 2025 I was on 2 depression meds and doing weekly esketamine treatments at the mental health center.  My mental health still wasn’t good.  I had brain fog, memory issues, anxiety, impaired cognition etc.  I had been following many people on YouTube doing a Ketogenic diet as Metabolic Therapy.  I was not able to find anyone in the USA that had openings.  Dr Bellamy was a guest on a Keto video and I loved what she had to say.  I contacted her office and signed up for her 6 month Foundations program.  I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it because my brain fog and cognition was impaired.  The program is set up perfectly.  She leads you through weekly online teaching and a group zoom call.  I did struggle the first couple of weeks but once I got my Keto diet macros set & started tracking  my food my symptoms started improving.  I’m even going to rejoin my quilting group in Aug. because I can read & understand patterns again.  I’m no longer in fear of cutting fabric wrong because my brain fog is going away.  A bonus for me is losing 20 pounds in 8 weeks.  I feel like the fee for her course is very reasonable and what I’ve learned has been priceless for my recovery!

Life-Changing. Truly.

Working with Dr. Bellamy and following a therapeutic ketogenic diet has truly changed my life. I had suffered for so long and tried countless medications and therapies without real results. I didn’t know what to expect at first, but from the beginning I felt supported. Erin answered all my questions, and the weekly meetings and community made me feel understood and never alone. Yes, the process has ups and downs, but this is the safest and most effective way to learn therapeutic keto. The food is delicious and surprisingly simple to follow with the suggested food list. Since starting, my sleep, focus, motivation, and especially my mood have improved in ways I never imagined. I’m so grateful for Erin and for Natalie, who is always kind and helpful by email.

IKRT is working & I'm feeling better

When I started the Foundations Program about 6 weeks ago I was in a dark downward spiral.  I started with Foundations because I was in such a bad place & had so much brain fog I wasn't sure if I could endure the longer Mastery class. I had tried to do KETO on my own several times and failed.   I needed help and support.  One thing I quickly learned was the macros I was using were way off to try to achieve the level of metabolic therapy.  Dr. Belamy sets each person up properly for the macro nutrients they need for their body, it's not one size fits all.

I'm enjoying the IKRT program so much I may go ahead and do the Mastery program when this one is completed.  Just to fill out a simple online form would take me 3 or more tries to get it done.  I was so overwhelmed by everything there were days I didn't even get out of bed. Now I feel lighter mentally and I have lost a little weight.  I really like they systematic way Dr Bellamy has the program set up to work on something new each week.  IKRT makes it easy to go at your own pace. The teaching videos are very good & when new research about metabolic therapy is published, she puts it online for us to read.  The weekly group calls are very helpful and there's a limited number of people on each call so we can ask questions.  It's amazing the things you can learn from others on the call, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with mental health issues.  Even though our diagnosis may not be the same, the treatment plan to health is very much the same.

The best bipolar, schizophrenia and AuDHD ketogenic peer support group you will encounter!

To those who might be down a deep rabbit hole in terms of ketogenic research to help with their mental health - you need look no further! I participated in Dr Erin's 6-month programme with other people committed to taking control and influencing their mental health in a positive direction using ketogenic therapy. Erin offers weekly personal support via answering submitted questions - and there is also the option to top up with 1:1's - (which I have only needed after 6 months!) I have learned so much from this compassionate group, not only about ketones but also about resilience, especially for those of us in midlife and above (40+years) who have experienced firsthand the low expectations and medical gaslighting associated with bipolar and schizophrenia in standard medical care. I now understand my personal ketone range for optimal mood - which you wont find in any research paper, plus symptoms and setbacks along the way (which is normal) were responded to with empathy and professional insights. This isn't an easy journey - but it can be simplified. Highly recommended!

My Ketogenic Therapy Journey with IKRT has been transformational

My Ketogenic Therapy Journey with IKRT has been transformational. The education and support from Erin is outstanding. She is very empathetic and supportive, and super knowledgeable. If you have struggled to find a sustainable way to address mental (and metabolic) challenges, you have to give IKRT a try. I have learnt so much about keto as a way of leaving, about its therapeutic super powers and have experienced its effects first hand. Aside from the deep knowledge about keto and its benefits to our health, Erin is there to support and provide ideas to overcome any blockers in the keto journey. And the support from the community is fantastic, too. I have not only gained knowledge about ketogenic therapy, but also trust in my body, in my capacity and knowledge of it and myself. I can't recommend IKRT and Erin enough!

IKRT has been life changing for me.

IKRT has been life changing for me. I have struggled with getting into ketosis on my own and it wasn't until I had the gained the knowledge and support provided through IKRT that I was successful and as a result me physical and mental health have improved immensely.

Support is the key to maintaining a ketogenic diet

I had tried to heal lifelong depression, anxiety and eating disorders for five years following a carnivore diet, but would always give it up.  The social pressure and subtle messages of "diet" being able to cure mental illness as just a silly notion would set up doubts in myself as to what I was doing was anywhere near a cure.  As a depressive, you already doubt your reality, so it would not take much to throw me off course.  I also want to add that prior to my five year adventure trying a ketogenic "cure", I had spent ten years on and off depression medication.  Most did not work or the side effects were unbearable.  When I did finally hit on a medication that worked, it stopped working after one year.  Going on and off medications is an awful experience.  So after ten years, I had enough with western medicine.  Which brings me to IKRT's program.  I took the plunge because I finally realized I needed help to stick with the diet.  I am so glad I did.  To get the support and encouragement from not only Erin, but the whole community is priceless.  You are not alone in your pain.  I have been able to stay in ketosis for nearly three months and the affect it has had on my mental stability is unbelievable.  Never have I been so calm, steady and positive.  Ketones have such a positive effect on my brain!  The "cost" kind of through me off while considering, but wow....I would pay double for such a positive effect this has had on my life.  The quality of the other participants is also reflected in the program. These are wonderful people who have suffered for years, battling western medicine with barely any results to show for it.  To be surrounded by such caring and thoughtful fellow travelers is so rewarding.

I've had glimmers of hope and joy, glimpses of 'my old self' and have felt optimistic and excited again about the future.

The IKRT 6-month Foundations Programme took my interest in and knowledge of ketosis and ketogenic therapy to the next level. The educational modules helped to reinforce the benefits theoretically, while the weekly calls provided a welcoming, supportive environment to encourage me to put theory into practice - consistently - much more than I'd been able to by myself.

For me, it wasn't about getting into ketosis and staying there, but learning how to manage the diet and eating around life's challenges, social and family events and how to stay in ketosis for longer so that the brain fog has lessened, my feeling of total overwhelm has decreased, my sleep has improved and I feel better about myself.

Erin's knowledge and compassion, together with the warmth and encouragement of everyone else on the calls, have been key. Most significantly, I've had glimmers of hope and joy, glimpses of 'my old self' and have felt optimistic and excited again about the future. I know that with the skills that Erin's programme teaches, I can get back there again and find a way to be the person I want to be and really am.

Learn how to do it right.

With way too much information out there how do you know what will work?  This plan worked for my son. We have learned so much from our structured videos and also from each other.

I've never been able to stick with a keto program to see it's true effects until I joined this group.

I've never been able to stick with a keto program to see it's true effects until I joined this group. I lost 10 pounds of inflammation fast, and have continued with a more gradual weight loss schedule since I started. Dr. Erin is kind and intelligent and gentle and has laid this program out so thoughtfully. I've learned so much, and my mental health has been transformed. Intrusive thoughts were becoming a big issue for me, and in two months they've become just a passing inconvenience. Additionally, I've started to ovulate again which I attribute to ketosis as well. My PCOS symptoms are almost erased with this protocol.

Week 3

I've been on medication for Major Depressive Disorder over 40 years and at the point the medications are no longer working. New medications offered have such bad side effects that I don't even want to try them.  I have been researching metabolic therapy for a couple of years but could not find a provider in the USA for KETO, the ones with openings were for coaching on the Carnivore diet.  Out of the blue YouTube videos of Dr Erin Bellamy, IKRT started showing up in my feed and I watched all I could find.  Her program was exactly what I was looking for.  I signed up for her free online meeting that explained what the programs are and how they work.  I enrolled right away for the Foundations program.  In the Tuesday Zoom class, she is very good at letting people move at their own pace.  That took a lot of pressure off because I wasn't sure if I could keep up due age, brain fog, total lack of energy, and trouble concentrating.  It's set up in a step-by-step fashion that I have been able to do even with limited computer skills.

For the first time in many years, I feel hopeful now that I've found a treatment for my mental illness in metabolic therapy through IKRT!
